Artwork in the room
"K. Česonytė’s paintings are variations on Expressionist painting: characterized by a trembling touch, energetic brushstrokes, and expressive paint textures with which she often seems to 'sculpt' figures, objects, and landscape elements. In terms of genre, the scope of her work is quite traditional. Landscapes predominate, though the artist has also painted a series of still lifes, numerous urban scenes, and the occasional stylized portrait. Yet, other aspects of K. Česonytė’s painting align her less with classical modernist art and more with the imagery of the contemporary, media-saturated world. 'My tools are the computer and virtual space,' she says. The visual imagery in her paintings derives not from reality itself, but from a virtual—or secondary—reality. For this creative artist, however, that serves merely as a springboard or a starting signal that liberates both imagination and hand. In her work, this secondary reality—or a chance motif—and the artist’s imagination most often intertwine inseparably. Images suggested by modern media are transformed into authentic visions, deeply and sensitively experienced by the painter herself."

About this artwork+
The painting features a close-up depiction of lush flower blossoms, primarily executed in hues of white and blue against a light blue background. The flowers are densely packed, creating a rich tapestry of petals that appears almost tactile. Occasional hints of green peek through, suggesting leaves or stems just beneath the surface of the tightly clustered blooms. The texture is thick and palpable, with the paint applied generously to achieve a three-dimensional effect. The overall impression is one of vibrant, blooming life, encapsulating the essence of spring and the natural beauty of floral growth.
