About this artwork+

The painting depicts two cats rendered in a vibrant red against a calm blue background. The top cat is portrayed in a sitting position, looking to the side, its form slightly abstracted with visible strokes and drips that suggest a loosely defined outline. The lower cat, similarly colored and styled, is captured in a more dynamic posture, appearing to be in the middle of grooming or scratching itself.
