About this artwork+

The painting depicts a serene, natural landscape with a reflective pond at its center. The water, textured with thick, expressive strokes of blue and green, mirrors the vibrant foliage surrounding it. On one side of the pond, trees are painted in shades of red, yellow, and green, suggesting the onset of autumn. Their leaves appear to flutter in the gentle breeze, adding a dynamic quality to the scene. To the right, the trees transition to cooler greens and blues, indicating perhaps a denser, less sunlit part of the forest. The sky is barely visible, overshadowed by the towering trees, and the entire scene is imbued with a peaceful, almost melancholic atmosphere, as summer gives way to fall. Dappled light reflects off the water, creating a mosaic of color that enhances the impressionistic style of the painting.
